How long does it take for me to get the item I have requested using Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and/or Document Delivery Services (DDS)?

Answer

As a reference, the estimated delivery time for requested items in typical situations are:

  • ILL&DDS requests obtainable from local sources: 6 working days
  • ILL requests obtainable from overseas suppliers: Depends on the suppliers
  • DDS requests obtainable from overseas suppliers: 4 working days

However, the delivery time for the requested items is dependent on the library or the organisation that is providing the materials. Delays can happen due to a number of factors, including but not limited to, rare items that are difficult to source, postage issues, incorrect, incomplete or damaged items sent by the suppliers, etc.

Do rest assure that the Library strives to deliver your requested materials to you as soon as practicable.
